Plover Running on the Shore by Keith R Wahl A plover running on the shore along the waves, A blur of nervous energy in the sun. With nimble feet, it dances on the sand, A transient figure, bound by the tides. Its tiny wings flutter with grace, Carrying dreams of endless skies. In pursuit of freedom's fleeting touch, It scampers, leaving footprints behind. Each step a testament to resilience, As it navigates life's shifting sands. A creature of instinct, always in motion, Embracing the rhythm of the shoreline's song. In the golden light, it finds solace, In the boundless expanse of the sea. A symbol of freedom and untamed spirit, Forever chasing the horizon's mystery. Huzzah, plover, may your restless spirit guide, Those who long for liberation's embrace. May your journey inspire us to break free, And find our own path, in this vast human race. For in your fleeting presence, we are reminded, That life's true essence lies in living each day. With the courage to run along the edge, And embrace the unknown, come what may.
